Comfort of Pathos

I wanted to create something that visualized the dark but comforting aspects that can exist from the pure emotional side of a person.

Sadly I had some hiccups and lost some of the in progress screenshots.

Added a dim orange-red area light from above, replaced the world volumetrics with a local cube that just fit the scene and slightly altered the camera angle. A much larger render of this would become the final, which is available as a print.

Added a lower cyan area light and a smoke simulation emanating from under the creature's ribcage. Discovered and issue with world volumetrics and smoke simulation in rendering.

I used Meshroom to generate a point cloud of a model, cleaned up the point cloud after importing it in Blender, then converted it to a particle cloud with emission.
